EXAMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Examination - Firefighter/EMT
2022
The Upper Moreland Township Fire Department on behalf of the Upper Moreland Township Civil Service Commission will be conducting a written examination for Firefighter/EMT position on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Willow Grove Fire Company, 227 Davisville Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Each person who submits a completed application shall report for registration at 6:00 P.M. on the day of the written test. When reporting for the examination, each candidate MUST bring a government issued photo identification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TESTING
Citizen of the United States. High School Graduate or equivalent. At least 21 years of age before the deadline for submitting the completed application... Have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. Have earned at least (60) credits from an accredited college or university or have served at least (5) years as a fulltime or volunteer firefighter in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the following certifications are required:
Fire Fighter I NFPA 1001
Firefighter II NFPA 1001
Pump 1
Pump 2
HAZ MAT Operations NFPA 472
Certified by Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Vehicle Rescue Technician or NPFA 1006
Certified by Pennsylvania Department of Health as an Emergency Medical Technician or more advanced
certification.
Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a Firefighter/EMT.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be completed within 1 year
Driver/Operator/Pumper (NFPA 1002)
Fire Inspector 1 (NFPA 1031)
INSTRUCTIONS
Click "2022 Firefighter/EMT Entrance Exam Application Packet" or obtain an application at the Upper Moreland Township Building located at 117 Park Avenue, Willow Grove, PA 19090, Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Completed and notarized applications must be received or postmarked no later than 4:30 PM, Monday April 11, 2022. The envelope must be marked on the outside "APPLICATION FOR FIREFIGHTER".
A $50.00 fee to cover the administrative costs of processing the application must accompany the application. A check or money order must be made payable to Upper Moreland Township.

Applicants passing the written testing with a 70% will undergo a Physical Agility Test on Saturday May 21, 2022 at the Abington Public Safety Annex, 2200 Florie Lane, Abington, PA 19001 8AM
