The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is sharing the following:
- A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for all of Montgomery County from Wednesday morning, September 1st, through Thursday evening, September 2nd.
- Remnants of Hurricane Ida will pass through the region Wednesday and Wednesday night. Excessive rainfall is the main threat with this system.
- Widespread rainfall of 2 to 5 inches is forecasted, with locally higher amounts possible. Numerous instances of flash flooding are likely Wednesday and Wednesday night.
- The Perkiomen Creek at Graterford is forecasted to reach 11.4ft (minor flood stage) Thursday morning. Schuylkill River at Norristown is forecasted to reach 14ft (minor flood stage) Thursday afternoon.
