[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Ida Remnants Notice

The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is sharing the following:

  1. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for all of Montgomery County from Wednesday morning, September 1st, through Thursday evening, September 2nd.
  2. Remnants of Hurricane Ida will pass through the region Wednesday and Wednesday night. Excessive rainfall is the main threat with this system.
  3. Widespread rainfall of 2 to 5 inches is forecasted, with locally higher amounts possible. Numerous instances of flash flooding are likely Wednesday and Wednesday night.
  4. The Perkiomen Creek at Graterford is forecasted to reach 11.4ft (minor flood stage) Thursday morning. Schuylkill River at Norristown is forecasted to reach 14ft (minor flood stage) Thursday afternoon.
