On Thursday, October 29, 2020, Governor Tom Wolf signed Senate Bill 1281, the enhanced Move Over Legislation into law, Act 105 of 202 takes effect April 27, 2021. This legislation modifies the Commonwealth's Steer Clear Law, which is outlined in Section 3327 by increasing the penalties, establishing the minimum speed when passing in a nonadjacent lane, extending the provisions to disabled vehicles and increasing PennDOT's responsibilities for public awareness. Each day, tow truck operators, firefighters, EMS workers, police officers, fire police and others respond on Pennsylvania roadways to assist others. These emergency responders face danger while working at emergency scenes from what are known as "D" drivers...drivers that are Drunk, Drugged, Drowsy Distracted or Dangerous. We need your support to help get the Move Over message out to keep our emergency responders safe!
