The Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC), in partnership with its consultant, NV5, has initiated work on studying the feasibility of the easternmost segment of Montgomery County’s Cross County Trail. This 6-mile-long segment, when completed, will begin at Welsh Road in Upper Dublin Township and terminate at the county’s Pennypack Trail. The project may involve several municipalities, including Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Horsham, Hatboro, and Bryn Athyn.
Community members are invited to attend the first of three planned online public meetings for the study on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 7–8 p.m. to learn all about the project. Participants will hear a project overview and will receive information on how residents can actively participate in the study process. They will also have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in an interactive mapping exercise and survey at the end of the meeting.
