The Philadelphia Motor Speedway - Warminster: An Unrealized Dream

“Early in the 20th century, automobile enthusiasts planned to bring "big time" auto racing to Warminster. The vision was to create a speedway that would rival the famous Indianapolis Speedway. An elaborate plan was developed, funding was secured, and actual construction started. However, it was never completed. Imagine what Eastern Montgomery County would have evolved to be if a successful speedway would have become an economic centerpiece. The tale of the rise and fall of this dream will be shared. “
