[ARCHIVED] Davisville Road Closure for Construction in Upper Moreland Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced on January 3, 2020, that the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA is planning to close Davisville Road between Terwood Road and Byberry Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County beginning Monday, February 17, 2020, for roadway and culvert construction. Weather permitting, the 24/7 closure will be in place through Friday, May 15, 2020.

During the closure, Davisville Road cars and small trucks will be directed to use Terwood Road, Route 263 (York Road), Warminster Road and Byberry Road. Large and heavy trucks will be directed to use Terwood Avenue, Route 263 (York Road) and Byberry Road.

Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
