The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will be starting two projects in the area of the Willow Grove Interchange beginning the week of August 21, 2017. The first involves widening the Turnpike’s eastbound deceleration ramp with construction of a retaining wall, milling and repaving the Interchange ramps, bridge repairs, and other improvements to the guiderail, signage and lighting. Traffic restrictions on Route 611 will be necessary at times. This project is scheduled for completion in November, 2018. The second project call for installation of new Dynamic Messaging Signs on Route 611 in both directions adjacent to the Interchange. This work will require shifting of traffic lanes. The sign project is scheduled for completion in August, 2018. Questions should be directed to Steven Dale, Project Manager, PA Turnpike Commission, at 610-313-6246 or sdale@paturnpike.com.
