The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced lane restrictions on Route 263 (York Road) between Fitzwatertown/Terwood Roads and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Upper Moreland Township, October 28th through November 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., for milling and paving operations.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather. This work is part of a project to repair and resurface more than 13 miles of state highway in Montgomery County. The project also includes the construction of ADA curb ramps, utility adjustments and other miscellaneous roadway maintenance.
Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $6,175,308 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania’s Transportation Plan. Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in the fall.
