Motorists will encounter an overnight ramp closure from southbound Route 611 (Easton Road) to the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County, for abutment repairs and other construction activities as part of a project to rehabilitate two Route 611 (Easton Road) bridges, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, September 24, through Thursday, September 27, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM;
- Friday, September 28, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM;
- Saturday, September 29, from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM;
- Sunday, September 30, through Thursday, October 4, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM; and
- Friday, October 5, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
During construction, motorists will be directed to use Mill Road, Route 263 (York Road), and Route 611 (Easton Road).
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on Route 611 (Easton Road) through the work area. The work schedule is weather dependent.
These restrictions are necessary to advance this project into Stage 7, during which crews will complete abutment and bridge wall repairs.
