[ARCHIVED] Huntingdon Road Closure - August 13th through August 17th

On Monday, August 13, 2018, Land Tech Enterprises along with Upper Moreland Public Works Department will be performing bank stabilization and roadway repair on Huntingdon Road between 1840 and 1855 Huntingdon Road.

This work will require Huntingdon Road to be closed at the work site. The estimate duration of the closure will be five (5) days, between August 13th and August 17th. Masons Mill Road can be accessed from the Terwood Road side of Huntingdon Road. Detour notices will be posted on Terwood Road and Masons Mill Road, along with message boards. Weather permitting.

The work will consist of a combination of naturalized bank stabilization techniques.  Soil wraps with brush layering and rip-rap toe protection will be implemented. This will correct the existing erosion issue and serve to protect the area from future erosion. All necessary permits have been acquired from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Montgomery County Conservation District.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Upper Moreland Public Works Department at 215-659-4070.
