[ARCHIVED] I-76 Overnight Construction Operations in Montgomery County

PennDOT announces Interstate 76 motorists will face overnight lane closures and ramp restrictions on Sundays through Thursdays from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning beginning Sunday, February 18, through Thursday, March 15, for construction activities under a project to repair and resurface 12.5 miles of the expressway in Upper Merion Township, West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Single lane closures will occur at the following locations:

  • Eastbound and westbound I-76 from just west of U.S. 202 to U.S. 1 (City Avenue) for drainage and cleaning operations; and
  • The southbound Interstate 476 ramp to I-76 for expansion dam replacement.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route or allow extra time when traveling on I-76 in the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
